THE MONKS OF NEW SKETE - THE ART OF RAISING A PUPPY The Monks of New Skete - The Art of Raising a Puppy, while this is not a book on Great Danes (the monks raise German Shepards) this is definately a GREAT book on how to raise a puppy. Once again, get this book before you bring home your new Dane puppy, as this book starts "prepare for your puppy's arrival". The training techniques in this book are applicable to any breed, and a breed the size of a Great Dane must be trained!
